Oceanography

OCEANOGRAPHY – “Let the waters be gathered.”

In the last twenty-five years, a complete reversal of our understanding of the history of the earth has occurred. It is generally known as the geological revolution, and it has been produced mainly through the efforts of ocean scientists.

God Describes His Design for the Sea

Author:
Pastor Paul A. Bartz

In Genesis 1:9-10, we have the account of God's separation of the land and the water, which resulted in the creation of the continents and the oceans. We know that God here summarizes what He did because in Job 38:4-18 God provides us with more of the details of His design for the ocean. As we read the details of Job 38:4-18, we see that God's design anticipates needs which we could never have known about, had the design of the oceans been left up to us.

God's Control of the Sea

Author:
Pastor Paul A. Bartz

God controls the seas with more ease than we control a glass of water. While Scripture is revealing God's awesome and comforting power over the seas, it also reveals scientifically accurate facts to us about the seas. This accuracy is important, for if God's Word is accurate only when it speaks in a comforting way to us, we have perhaps the strangest God that man ever thought of.

Author:
Pastor Paul A. Bartz

Portrait of JobNote: Creation Moments exists to provide biblically sound materials to the Church in the area of Bible and science relationships. This Bible study may be reproduced for group use.

Many people associate the study of science with evolution. For this reason they think that science is unbiblical or even evil, but is this really the case?
