The Most Complex Structure in the Universe
Job 38:36
"Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?"
Whether you know it or not, you are the proud owner of the most complex arrangement of matter in the universe. I am speaking of your brain. Even though it weighs only three pounds, the brain's...

Life on Earth ... and Elsewhere

A new legless amphibian named Chikilidae has recently been discovered in Northeast India that is unique from anything previously found.(1) DNA testing suggests that the Chikilidae is related to another similar species found in Africa. It has been suggested that the two species’ paths split some 140 million years ago when the larger land mass called Gondwana broke apart into the present-day Africa, Australia, South America and India.

Global warming - is it really happening?

Not according to a recent statement by one of the leading global warming proponents. James Lovelock(1), the father of the Gaia Theory, recently commented on MSNBC that he and others were “alarmist” in predicting that the earth would heat up causing massive death and destruction. This hasn’t happened, and he admits that he made a mistake. He still believes it will happen, “but it’s been deferred a bit.” He also admitted that “we don’t know what the climate is doing.”

War Between Science and Faith?

Though evolutionists would have you believe there's a war between science and faith, the very idea of a conflict is preposterous! God designed everything and left us with a user manual. We should look at the world around us, use good science and interpret what we see in the light of Scripture. Does Scripture give us any clues as to what we are investigating? If so, we shouldn’t ignore it but use it to help us interpret our observations.

New Element, Balonium, Confirms Evolution Is True

April 1, 2012 – Scientists have discovered a new element that confirms the theory of evolution to be true. The new element – balonium – will be added to the Periodic Table of Elements with an atomic number of zero because it has no protons, no neutrons, no electrons and no evidence that it even exists.

Hooked on a Feeling?

Talk show host Oprah Winfrey has said, "God is a feeling experience, not a believing experience." Think about that for a moment. Where does truth come from – from inside ourselves or from outside? Feeling puts the focus inside. Believing puts the focus outside.

Evolution – An Idea that Just Won't Float

Some child psychologists are disturbed about the tendency for people to see purpose and design in things. After all, some studies show that children prefer creationist explanations over evolutionary explanations. These psychologists want children (and the rest of us as well) to be trained to accept the admittedly counter-intuitive dogma of evolution. Why? Because, they say, “science is counter-intuitive”.

What Has Evolution Given to the World?

Writing in our Facebook page, an atheist recently told us that there are thousands upon thousands of articles written in medical journals about how evolution has been of enormous benefit in medicine. We thought you might be interested in seeing how we responded.

"If we sound an uncertain trumpet..."

Today's guest blogger is Richard Rothermel, a long-time friend of Creation Moments and an avid creationist who teaches biblical creation to the members of his church through a column in the church's newsletter.

Origins - Not a Scientific Issue at All

Evolutionary scientists today act as if "science" is the only way to determine whether something is true. But is this a proper way to learn the truth of a one-time event that is rooted in history?

Don't Try to Change God

The following blog entry, written by Jennifer Cole, appeared in Creation Moments' Facebook group. Our discussions in the group cover a lot of topics but are primarily about creation, evolution, science and the Bible. To join the group, click here.

Microevolution: Surely There MUST Be a Better Word!

Evolutionists are saying there is no difference between microevolution and macroevolution. That makes us wonder if creationists should be using different terms to distinguish between what we believe and what we definitely do not believe.

Why does it matter? Because the two terms suggest that there's really only a matter of degree between the kind of evolution we accept and the kind we reject. When we say we agree with one kind of evolution, we are waving the white flag of surrender … at least in the eyes of evolutionists.

"Creeps", "Jerks" and "Punks on Librium"

The Creation Moments group on Facebook is filled with interesting discussions … and an equal number of interesting people. Today's guest blogger is artist and author Philip Snow, who responded to the following question: When talking to evolutionists and atheists, Christians too often spend all their time defending what they believe against a barrage of attacks. If we want to turn the tables, go on the offensive, and bring up subjects that will upset their apple-cart, what are some good things we can say or ask?

Evolutionists Are Simple-Minded

Before you start thinking that Creation Moments has stooped to the level of name-calling, permit us to explain the title we've given to this blog posting.

Recently we asked the evolutionists on our Facebook page to tell us which came first: the heart, the blood or the blood vessels? After all, if the heart evolved first, what good would it be without the other two? If the blood evolved first … well, you get the idea.

NASA – The "Glory" Has Departed

Some of you who are reading this are too young to remember the glory days of NASA – when the U.S. space agency put a man into Earth orbit and, a few years later, on the surface of the moon. NASA had brains and guts in those days – as evidenced by the remarkable story of Apollo 13 … or when astronauts weren't afraid to read passages from Scripture in their transmissions from space.

Guess Who's Getting an "F" in Evolution

"Most U.S. high school biology teachers 'fail to forthrightly explain evolutionary biology,' finds an educator survey. And at least 13% 'strongly support' teaching creationism."

Global Warming or Mind Control?

Mark Twain was absolutely correct when he said that "statistics" can be just another way for someone to tell a lie. A recent USA Today Daily Briefing e-mail called attention to a study – published several months ago in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences – showing that "97 percent of scientific experts agree that climate change is 'very likely' caused mainly by human activity."
