On one atheist YouTube channel, called TheThinkingAtheist, I presented my testimony of how I was addicted to tobacco for 20 years and had tried to quit several times even with over the counter treatments. I shared that I sought the Lord for help and that I went to a Bible study afterward and during the service, I felt an anointing of faith rise up inside and I knew it was time. After the service, I went to the Pastor and told him. He laid his hand on me and prayed for me, and the addiction left with all the cravings on the spot. That was 30 years ago. I told them it's as if I had never smoked. They said that doesn't prove any thing that lots of people including atheists quit smoking. I said I could have the Pastor provide a documented corroboration of my testimony. They said testimonies are worthless. I said for thousands of years in civilized societies witnesses and testimony is honorable and carry weight even to sending someone to prison and even death. They said no matter how many people said God did that, it's not "Empirical Evidence". So a "note" from my mom my Pastor or the Pope means nothing, because none of it is true.
