Today's Creation Moment

One Smelly Amoeba
Job 9:25-26
"Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good. They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hasteth to the prey."
Not all dangerous predators can be seen. One of the most dangerous predators in a drop of pond water is Amoeba proteus. This amoeba literally terrorizes its one celled pond mates because they can...

Where Do Instincts Come From?

Have you ever marveled at the instinctual behaviors of animals? How do birds and butterflies know where (and when) to migrate? How do creatures with hardly a brain at all - like the lowly worm - know how to accomplish tasks they were never taught? Ask an evolutionist, and they'll tell you that instincts are merely favorable traits that are passed on because they improve the animal's ability to survive. But evolutionists can't begin to explain where instincts came from in the first place. Harry Moore, a friend of Creation Moments, recently shared his thoughts with us:

God created all the animals with the instinct to survive and the instinct to take care of their offspring. For instance, the dirt dobber wasp will paralyze several spiders so that the wasp offspring will have a fresh meal to eat. Amazingly, the spider will just stand there and let the wasp sting it!

Most people don't think about instincts. They don't realize that God had to 'hardwire' that special part of the brain in the first generation of all his creatures. Not only did He do that, He made sure the right instinct is in the right body! If He put the wrong instinct (or no instinct) into brains, that would lead to mass extinction. No mistake is allowed in the millions of animals He created. I believe God created Adam and Eve just as it says in the Bible. They and the animals were created as adults, capable (with the right instinct in the right body) of taking care of their offspring.

How sad that lowly worms follow their God-given instincts while atheistic evolutionists like Dawkins, Harris and Dennett deny the instinctual knowledge all humans have that God exists.
