The basic tenets of evolution are atheistic in nature. Even Darwin, who was once studying to be a minister, forsook God and became an atheist. He was desperate to create a world that did not have anything to do with God as a creator. In short, he worshiped the creation and not the Creator. Like in all things, you can only serve one God. One must choose between evolution (which is the worship of self, i.e., we are gods) or the true Creator. Jesus Himself said that man cannot serve two masters. God is a jealous God, who wants us to worship Him only and not the other gods of the world.
