You have to quote wikipedia? You could have posted that quotation yourself. Why did the "Islamic Golden Age" end in 1600? (BTW others say that it ended much sooner.)
They had 1400 years to invent the light bulb, the locomotive, the airplane etc. Yet all these were invented after the Protestant Reformation and after the American Revolution. Hmmm!
