*Application science is [repeatable testing=products for consumption] like vaccines, potable water and smores. This is in agreement with the Biblical mandate(s) to gain wisdoms discerning truths proverbs 8:9~ 9:4~ 9:10-"The fear of the Lord" is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. We get emperically verifiable results. It works or it doesn't.

*Historical science is [interprepation of fossils, sediments & starlight=opinion] like Nicholas Stenos' local floods depositing visible sedimentary layers: Nimrod, George Cuvier,~Charles Lyell condensing these views into something called uniformitarianism. Darwin reading Lyell on the Beagle voyage thus falling into the spell of Lyells' faulty theory of long epochs of time in which the present is key to the past. These imagined time spans gave Darwin license to inject natural selection over long periods to produce the variety of life we see in the present. We get legally supported [enforced] opinions fed by public dollars. Evolution in the classroom. Large legal fees for those who dissent. Or death.

These are the two approaches science has taken.
The first is dealing with the created order, reality.
The second is dealing with mans' corrupted opinion.

By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. Hebrews 11:3

The following statement is from Dr. Stephen Schneider who famously claimed spray cans damage the atmospher(ozone).
"We have to offer up scary scenarios. make simplified dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we may have. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest". WOW. I rest my case...
