I just wanted to point out that earning a BS degree doesn't make a you a scientist. I also think most doctors do not refer to themselves as scientists. That's not to say they don't understand the principles, but a trained scientist is different from a medical or veterinary doctor.

Anyways, do all you creationists believe the Earth is flat as well? Or that the sun revolves around the Earth? Religious folk thought those ideas were absurd as well.

It's true biology can't fully explain abiogenesis (how life came from non-life), but there are hypotheses. That was very long ago and the Earth was very different. It's not like we can make a 1000 more Earths to test. At the same time, to admit ignorance doesn't mean you must immediately embrace the idea that a deity created it. In fact it is a logical fallacy. If a complex creation needs a creator... then what about the creator? Doesn't the creator need a creator? And so on?

At the heart of the universe is a mystery, not a deity.
