It's probably because they simply choose not to talk about it. They don't talk about how when the coelacanth was discovered in 1938, it showed little change compared to the 70 million year old fossils of it we still find in sediment today. Why did that creature not evolve into another species during that time while we gradually changed from apes to humans in less than half that time? This isn't just true of coelacanths, it's true of every other "living fossil" that's been re-discovered since Darwin formulated his theory on the assumption that the fossil record would turn up thousands of "missing links", the first of which we're still looking for, after nearly 200 years. So living fossils changed little, if at all, yet ape species became us? And you call what I believe tosh??

I want to believe you. It would be so much easier for me if I could leave my religion so I could join yours and get a tenured teaching job at a science department in a university, guarantee myself lots of money and prestige, and go on a book tour to tell everyone how exceptionally brilliant I am because I'm an atheist, and therefore I know better than ancient people who were murdered for writing their testimonies of a Creator..........I just need little questions like these answered first!
