I have not yet seen the film, simply because of needing to go to a theatre to do so and because of the $$ (with rising fuel costs). However, I am greatly looking forward to seeing it on DVD sometime. It is good to read the feedback on here and I am glad something exposing an evil and unscientific world view has come closer to the forefront of national attention (though local stations here in NC did not have ads for it...just proving the massive bias against its message!).

We saw the film and it was great. We have recommended it to all our friends. It would never have been shown on TV because it presents the truth.

I was surprised that the evolutionists, knowing they were being filmed, were so rabid in their opinions about creationists. They made no effort to document the errors in creationism or intelligent design, but only spat out their hatred by hurling invectives.

Ben Stein obviously was not trying to satisfy creationists with a comprehensive argument against evolution. I think he succeeded admirably in his purpose of exposing the vicious discrimination of establishment evolutionists against anyone who dares to even question the validity of evolution.

Richard Dawkins apparently was unaware of his ridiculous position in denying God but positing some intelligence in outer space somewhere. He was closer to the truth than he realized, but attributed intelligence to some alien creature rather than to God.

I live by the word of the Lord to the letter and nothing can change or alter my Creationist beliefs; nothing. My life is devoted to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and everything written in the Holy Bible. I certainly hope and with deep prayer that the film may serve to enlighten others and perhaps will allow others to finally see the truth.

I liked the content very much. I learned the ferocity of opponents of design. Dawkins seemed almost rabid in his comments. Unless we're heard the knowledge of God will continue to be repressed by His enemies. Good job Mr. Stein and thanks.

I am halfway through 4 years of Dental School, and have never bought the evolutionary joke.

This movie was absolutely amazing, shining the light on the absolute hatred evolutionists have toward anyone who does not think the way they do. Ben Stein couldn't have done a better job at this exposition.

Mr. Stein's cross-section appeal is a plus to expose the lies behind the Doctrine of Evolution to the masses.
His quick hitting visuals were effective for today's
sight and sound" generation.
The content was relatively shallow compared to other treatments, but probably effective for the general public.
I was disappointed that the contrast made between ID and Creationism was to make the latter appear "kooky." But at least he got the nose of the camel into the tent.
I have much more documented evidence for Creationism and the evil fruit of Evolution on my site - totaltruth.org - including an article by Creation Moments and used with permission.

The one thing I liked about the movie is that both sides of the argument had fair treatment.

Christy,

It's still in theatres. Go to expelledthemovie.com and there's a theatre search button to find where it's playing near you.

I've seen the movie twice now. Overall I enjoyed it because I agree with the majority of the points it made, but I was disappointed by what the content turned out to be, compared to how it was hyped & titled. There are far better pro-ID/pro-creationism DVDs already available.

Only a relatively small percentage of the film was allotted to the half-dozen cases of people being "expelled" (about 15 minutes' worth near the beginning, followed by 5 minutes near the end of this 97-minute film), & due to the superficial nature of the content, allowed the expelledexposed website to dismiss its claims.

I was also very disappointed to hear David Berlinski state that Darwinism was a necessary condition for the Holocaust to have occurred. He prefaces it by admitting that it was not a sufficient cause, but the bottom line is that Hitler was evil, & would have killed his enemies with or without the popularity of Darwin's faulty hypothesis. As gun advocates frequently say, guns don't kill people; people kill people. It's unfair to link Darwinism directly to Hitler if you don't also link Hitler's misguided religious beliefs.

A far better point would've been to show the same footage of Stein visiting the concentration camps, & emphasize that Darwinism taken to its logical conclusion should not shock any of its adherents. Stein could've introduced theistic evolutionists who invent a religious deity to compensate for Evolution's natural justification of atrocities like the Holocaust. In other words, if we're just the descendants of randomly assembled chemicals, why should we care about anything, including survival?

To his credit though, Berlinski also makes the best point of the film when he equates Darwinism with a room full of smoke. When Stein highlights Darwin's understanding of cells being simple, he asks Berlinski, "If (figuratively speaking) [Darwin] viewed the cell as being a Buick, what do we know it is now (relatively speaking)?" His powerfully poignant response: "A galaxy." (Note that he's referring to an innumerably large grouping of stars, not to the Ford vehicle!)

"Expelled"'s primary strength is its exposure of vehement atheists, & its presentation of equally bright people who hold alternate views. For that alone, it's worth viewing, but there's plenty of room for a far better sequel to be made!
