Welcome to the Creation Moments blog - MOMENTUM. As friends of this ministry know, creation science is picking up momentum around the world. This blog is for them as well as for everyone who is willing to follow the evidence no matter where it may lead. Controversial, thought-provoking, sometimes outrageous but always interesting, MOMENTUM will bring you news and commentary from the front lines of the creation science vs. evolution battleground.

Creation Action Moments Off to a Great Start!

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

If you’ve ever wished you could do something personally to join the battle against atheistic evolution, our new “Creation Action Moments” e-mail is here to help! Each week we’ll give you one action item that’s easy to do and takes only a minute or two. If you aren’t already receiving it, sign up for our daily e-mail now to receive both our daily “Today’s Creation Moment” and our weekly “Creation Action Moments” e-mails!

Last week we asked our friends to watch one of our videos, rate it and comment on it. This enabled us to improve our ranking on YouTube while showing believers and nonbelievers evidence for God as Creator. As one viewer commented: “I’ve listened to Creation Moments on the radio for years, and am thrilled that the program has evolved to YouTube! Pictures only reinforce the image created in the mind’s eye when listening to the program.”

If you missed last week’s Creation Action Moment, it’s not too late to get involved! Click on this link to view our Amazing Gecko video on YouTube, check out all the great comments we received, and leave a comment of your own! Then watch your e-mail for next week’s Creation Action Moment!

New Glue Leaves Evolutionists in a Stickier Position Than Ever!

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

In a Creation Moments program called “Gecko Tape,” we talked about the amazing ability of the gecko to walk up walls and across the ceiling. The gecko can do this because it has tiny hairs, called setae, on its feet. These hairs are so tiny that they actually grip the molecules in the surface of the material upon which the gecko is walking. We also noted that researchers were trying to create a similar type of glue in the lab but had failed. Well, that changed last Thursday (October 9) when researchers reported they had successfully developed a new type of dry glue designed to mimic gecko feet. (more…)

Philosophy Camouflaged to Look Like True Science

Monday, August 18th, 2008

Many people - especially those who believe in creation - resist watching science shows on PBS and the Discovery Channel, because these programs are usually saturated with unscientific claims favoring evolution. However, even Darwinian soapboxes like Nova can be worth watching, just as long as you do so with a discerning eye.

The first thing you have to do is separate the program’s true science from its unfounded Darwinian musings. For example, when the narrator describes a creature as roaming the earth “60 million years ago,” know that you have now left the world of science and are right in the heart of The Darwinist Zone. Such claims are pure conjecture, nothing more. (more…)

Evolution Sinks to a New Low

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

As scientists search for water and evidence of life on Mars, other scientists are plumbing the depths of the ocean to get to the bottom of the questions: how and where did life begin? According to a paper being published today in Nature, the seafloor – once considered to be a barren plain – is teeming with microbial life, leading scientists to believe that this may be where life first began.

USC geomicrobiologist Katrina Edwards and colleagues found thousands of times more bacteria on the seafloor than in the water above. ScienceDaily reports that the newfound abundance of seafloor microbes makes it theoretically possible that early life thrived – and maybe even began – on the seafloor.

While Creation Moments supports the exploration of space and the ocean depths, scientists are on a futile quest if they’re looking in those places for the origin of life. Yes, they can search high and low, but the only true answers can be found in the Bible. In fact, the answer is right there on the very first page!
