The Days in Genesis
Genesis 1:5
“And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”
Silently, a huge, powerful form slides through the deep, cold, dark depths of the sea. The men aboard the nuclear submarine have seen neither sun nor daylight for months, yet each one knows what day...

The Frog and the Floodlights

Today's blog entry comes from Gary Hupfer, a friend of Creation Moments who happened to notice something unusual going on outside his house the night before last. We'll let Gary tell it in his own words:

Just when you think you've seen and heard it all, a program like Creation Moments opens your eyes and shows what you are missing. Where we live, there are small frogs, about the size of the tip of one's thumb, called spring peepers. They have special feet that enable them to climb walls and even glass windows. We observed one last night that climbed the side of our house, up to the motion-sensor floodlights, then moved across the sensor which turned on the lights. It then sat on top of the sensor, happily eating insects that were attracted to the light. When the lights "timed out" and turned off, the little frog moved across the sensor and turned them back on again. This went on for over an hour, until the bloated frog climbed down the house and went back to the pond!

To those of us who believe in biblical creation, a story like this just underscores the fact that even a frog the size of a thumbnail can bring glory to the awesome God who created it!

Isn't God amazing? It is just incredible that a frog can be that smart! Who would have thought?!

I like Frogs, In fact I'm a Frog: Fully Reliant On God

By being 'Fully Reliant On God' you do in fact become as significant to humanity as these frogs. Thumb sized and fairly low on the intellectual food chain. The frog has EVOLVED in a human environment in order to sustain itself.

have a bad day.

All God's creations were given intelligence. So-called adaptation that is attributed to nature is actually a gift from God. God's creations tend toward life, and they can adapt to circumstances that favor life. This agrees perfectly with scripture, which states that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that those who believe on him have life everlasting. (John 14:6, 1Tim 1:16)
