"And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:"
When a flower lives in harmony with and is dependent upon, say, an insect for fertilization, this is known as symbiosis. Creation Moments programs have given many examples of this, and each one...

“Darwinian beliefs … make for a bad society.” – Richard Dawkins

Yesterday we watched an excellent video on YouTube ... but we're not going to suggest that you watch it. In this video, atheist Richard Dawkins interviews a Christian creationist who successfully debates the issues with Dawkins for over an hour. Why, then, aren't we identifying the video so you can watch it? Because hundreds of comments have been posted by atheists who mercilessly attack the interviewee and use every four-letter word in the book to describe the vile and violent acts they'd like to do to her. The comments are horrific - beyond anything we ever expected to see.

But WHY should we not have expected to see something like this? After all, the godless philosophy of evolution leads inevitably to a society made up of people like this - unloving, unwise, vile, violent and vicious people who have no sense of right and wrong. As Dawkins himself confessed toward the end of the interview, "I agree with you that Darwinian beliefs would not make for a good society. I've said that they'll make for a bad society."

At last - something that Dawkins has said that we can agree with! The contemptible comments made by atheists on YouTube is just one more example of how vicious our culture is becoming, thanks, in part, to godless evolution. Atheism, of course, is nothing new. But because of evolution, atheism is now respectable and growing like a deadly cancer.

In the world that atheists envision - a world without God - there can be no morality or objective "right and wrong." There's only one rule - survival of the fittest. Creation Moments believes that the days of worldwide Christian persecution and even martyrdom are near at hand. And that's why we believe it's more important than ever to seek God's favor and stand strong for the Bible, biblical creation and the Gospel!

Comments

I'm guessing that there is more to the video that you are stating. And because of that you do not want your audience to see the video. You can easily publish the video within this blog (sans comments) for all to see.

Also - it is Darwin Socialism that Dawkins declares as bad - not Darwinism itself (i.e. - the evolution of species by natural selection).

Chris, it was suggested that personal seach for the video should be made. Finding it not on a contaminated site, but elsewhere, might prove more convincing.

Where Darwinism is concerned the basic belief has developed its own schisms.

Yes, I have noticed a section of society that has become very intolerant (to put it nicely) of anything christian or to do with church. They very quickly resort to vicious and rude retorts. What bothers me most is the reversal of good and bad to them. If we bring our children up as christians it is 'child abuse' or indoctrination. I see very clearly where society is going and the influence of God seems to be getting weaker. But this is not surprising, it was all foretold. We know that it is God who will rule in the end.

Morality and a sense of right and wrong exist independent of a belief in a god.

Religions use fear of an omnipotent god to coerce a particular set of 'moral' codes from their followers.

Atheists are as moral as anyone else. In fact judging by the statistics of felons, murderers, child molestors it appears that the religous are more likely to be involved in criminal and imoral behaviour than atheists.

The question of morality requires a basic tenet or foundation from which its product, morality, is formed.
What is yours?

The word "fear" for a practicing christian I hope most often translates reverential awe of an omnipotent God.

As atheist are as "religious" about their own way(s) in/of living morally, I am very sure there are those claiming membership, as in any "religion", become those statistics.

Profanity? On Youtube comments? Surely it can't be true!

I watched the video mentioned in the article and I left comments on YouTube about how illogical Dawkins was. This was evidenced in particular by his repeated admission that Darwinian thought leads to a miserable society that he would not want to live in, but he still insisted on promulgating Darwinian our society, while stating that all the evolutionary hoaxes and misrepresentations of the past should be ignored rather than addressed. In response to my comments, I received several rude and illiterate posts from people with vituperative responses about my lack of education. Some of the comments were heavily laden with swear words. Wow! I guess if you don't buy into the false notion that order comes from unbridled and unmitigated chaos over eons of time (which is completely unscientific), you're lacking in intelligence and education. Who knew?

For God's sake, how many people mistake "objective morality" for "absolute morality". A morality that derives from the world of objects is likely to be highly relativistic.

Speaking of relativistic morals, there seems to be no end. The "science" of evolution leads to destroying the weak. Helping the sick and poor is not, I repeat not, part of the evolutionary philosophy, no matter how much an evolutionist tries to say otherwise.

However, abortion IS supported by the "science" of evolution. What do proponents of abortion say? They say it is their "right" to kill human life while it's in the womb. This is supposed to be morally superior to the Christian's attempts to save babies.

I've even heard the argument that Christians only want to save babies from being murdered in the womb because these babies grow up to pay oodles of tithing to fat cow Christian churches.

That kind of twisted logic is the product of a fevered mind ... it's evolutionary fever, and the only cure is accepting the saving grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Some of you people are incredibly dense. Dawkins and Darwin don't want a society run along the lines of "social darwinism". That is not illogical, it is very logical and very noble. Newton's discovery of gravity isn't a promotion of the idea that everyone should throw themselves off skyscrapers is it?
Just because the animal kingdom lives by "survival of the fittest" doesn't mean that we automatically should embrace such nastiness.

"The “science” of evolution leads to destroying the weak. Helping the sick and poor is not, I repeat not, part of the evolutionary philosophy, no matter how much an evolutionist tries to say otherwise."

Stop bearing false witness. Both Dawkins and Darwin want a society where the sick and the poor are supported. To say otherwise is a lie.

I've got news for you, Simon. It is the God of the Bible, Jesus Christ, who has commanded us to help the sick and the poor, to uplift those who are down. This is a Christian principle that originated with the God of Creation and predates all the philosophies of men.

If Dawkins really does want to support the sick and the poor, then he is adopting Christian principles into his evolutionism. Evolution does not include moral consequences nor does it teach people to succor those who are in need. Nowhere in evolutionary thought is there the slightest hint that supporting the weak is a good thing.

The world does not like authority. Christianity is authoritative and requires accountability to a loving God. The Romans called Christians rebels because they placed their authority in God and not the Roman emperor. I also believe we will see persecution and martyrdom in areas of the world. There are days when I look forward to "going home", because this world offers nothing and I have seen enough.

Amen.
