Do the Bible and Science Mix?
John 3:12
“If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things.”
Scientific principles learned in the Bible have led to countless scientific discoveries and saved millions of lives. It’s true. Without the Bible, we would never have the blessings of modern science...

New Element, Balonium, Confirms Evolution Is True

April 1, 2012 – Scientists have discovered a new element that confirms the theory of evolution to be true. The new element – balonium – will be added to the Periodic Table of Elements with an atomic number of zero because it has no protons, no neutrons, no electrons and no evidence that it even exists.

At a press conference this morning, scientists announced that balonium can travel faster than the speed of light. This is because balonium has no protons, neutrons or electrons, so it is, in fact, nothing. And as everyone knows, nothing can travel faster than the speed of light.

When asked if balonium is a radioactive element, scientists said, "Yes, balonium has a half-life of one day. Of course, no one is certain if the day is 24 hours or if it's a thousand years. We should know something by tomorrow."

In its natural state, balonium is reddish-pink in color, similar to bologna – hence, the element's name. When asked what balonium has to do with evolution, former creationist Ian Taylor said, "The discovery of balonium changes everything in the debate over evolution and biblical creation." The host of the Creation Moments radio program explained, "Since balonium is literally nothing, we now have indisputable scientific evidence that nothing confirms evolution to be true."

Funny for April fools day. lan is too smart to be an ex-creationist. He would be like an electric powered robot that reached down and unplugged his power cord!!

Absurd! This isn't science anymore, it's just a group of monkeys who will do ANYTHING to make God "vanish". I'm ashamed to be of the same species as these clowns.

Anything goes as long as it supports an effort to deny God. That's what's really at the heart of their "science" and their love of "naturalism."

P.S. Technically, there is no such thing as "natural," since all things were created by and are maintained by the supernatural hand of God.

Hold up.. are you serious? Dude I make one wrong turn on the internet and end up surrounded by brain-washed nut jobs.

I work in the medical community. I was captivated that this new element in the periodic table is identified as Bm. In the medical community, bm identifies what comes out the back end. In other words its only use is as fertilizer. I doubt this element would be useful for even that. However, it has given growth to such interesting insights.

Satire at it's finest: funny, yet makes a serious point.

I've got two questions:

1. Why is there a comma after "hence"?
2. How does nothing confirm that evolution is true?

I also have a theory:

Balonium is the only known evolved element. All other elements formed not too long after the Big Bang. Balonium appeared through the process of natural selection, pushing some of its contemporaries into extinction.

Needless to say, I'm the author of the scandalous video story that anyone can find on YouTube these days called "The Big Bang, Evolution, and other Myths."

Coppie's theory chgaend Earth as the center of the universe to the Sun being the center of the universe. He has some interesting bent space models, as well, but not as a result of gravity in the traditional sense. None of his theories (except planets revolving around the sun) were anywhere near right. Still amazing work, but it just shows that evidence can be interpreted in many ways and the conclusion still wrong. This probably isn't the thread to get into the Catholic church (thank the Lord).

Yes, indeed, evolution is full of balogna. The nothingless evidence for evolution is overwhelming. Zero evidence x zero respect for God = stupidity (not science). Caught, as we are, in this diabolical equation, we can scarcely pretend our science has any validity.

Now all we need is a balonium that cures the ozone problem, thus negating the greenhouse effect. Wait ... that would spoil the global warming scheme, wouldn't it?

This sounds so much like evolutionists' thinking. They always have a new theory. And it's always one full of bologna ... They just love stuff with no evidence that it even exists. (As long, of course, as it helps them blind themselves to the reality of God.)

This is so tragic. When you Creationists have to hide behind a farce.
I can prove mathematically, without carbon dating that the earth is more than 5000 years old.

I would also like to challenge your best theologian to a debate... one-on-one. I am an Agnostic and I have statements and questions that require answers. I have been to Theologians in Europe and other places in California ( a major Baptist University) seeking, but not getting answers to questions about the following:
Creationism vs Evolution
The myth of Original Sin/ Redemption/Salvation
The 5 attributes of God
The Trinity

If you have a theologian who would like to engage mew, please respond by e mail. This is not a drill.

Balonium?!?!? Can anyone say "balogna?"
