Grand Deception About the Grand Canyon

All of us have heard that the Grand Canyon was carved out of solid rock by the slow movement of water in the Colorado River. But does this really make any sense at all?
Have there been any observations that can suggest that the trickle (in comparison) of the Colorado River can carve through solid rock while mighty rivers like the Mississippi or the Amazon don't carve anything of the sort? And I don't recall the river beds of those rivers being solid rock.
So what does the science show? It favors lots of water over a short period of time. It does NOT point to a little water over a very long period of time. And for the record, it is the science based off studying Noah's Flood that has made us understand this. This is more evidence that the Bible had it right from the beginning.
Many major science discoveries were founded simply by reading the Bible. The one that stands out the most for me is Matthew Maury’s discovery of the ocean currents. He read the Psalms which talks about the currents ... and he found them, just as the Bible said.
We are still waiting for science to catch up to the Bible. I’m sure we'll be waiting quite a while.
